Known Bugs

v1.8x:

Lets just say that there are still lots of bugs to work out. Check the forum for the latest info.

v1.72:

  • There were a few bugs in each quest file (raft wouldn't work in 1st or 2nd quest, small bugs in demo and bs1st). Get the fixed files from the quest archive.

v1.70:

  • There are still numerous animation (and related) problems with the BS-Zelda quest. That's because the game engine is still being modified to support the new animation style.

  • If you die while swinging your sword, Link will swing his sword around during the death sequence. Kind of neat to watch.

  • Sometimes when you beat bosses, the roaring sound still plays until you change screens.

v1.60:

  • There are numerous animation (and related) problems with the BS-Zelda quest. That's because the game engine is still being modified to support the new animation style.

  • There are also various bugs in the quests files packaged in zc160ns.zip. Please get the most recent quest files from the Quest Archive page.

  • I found a bug that opens secret doors with the wand and book. It doesn't seem to work in v1.00, and not all the time in v1.60 either. Go to a screen with a secret door (cave or stairs) and stand in the fifth column from the left. Shoot your wand down and the fire should cause the secret door to open, no matter where the door is on the screen. It does it repeatedly too. Here's a pic:
