Well, I haven't made much progress on the quest editor page yet. The only thing new is a pic of the new subscreen layout in the What's Next section. Also, War Lord is working on a quest. See the forum for more info and to download it. I'll try to get it in the quest archive soon.

There are slightly updated versions of demo.qst and bs1st.qst in the Quest Archive. Also, I'm working on a page for the quest editor.

Ah, the joys of game programming. It turns out that v1.70 had quite a few bugs. Version 1.72 is up now. It should work better. Thanks for all the feedback.

I brought back the Screen Shots page with a new look. I also got some
icons from the message board. Oh yeah, the Bugs page has been updated for v1.70.

What? A bug? OK, now version 1.701 is out! It has the same engine as v1.70 but there are a couple fixes in demo.qst and one fix in bs1st.qst. If you downloaded zc170ns.zip, just get the two quest files from the Quest Archive. If you are providing downloads of ZC on your website, please use zc1701ns.zip instead of zc170ns.zip. Thanks.

Version 1.70 is out! It has a lot of new features. See the readme for details.

I added a map viewing feature to both the game and the editor. Read more about it in the "What's Next" section.

OK, well, the bugs in the initial release of zc160ns.zip are still causing a lot of problems. I decided to put up a new download that includes the fixes. If you are providing downloads of zc160ns.zip from another location, please update to zc1601ns.zip so people new to ZC will get the fixed versions. Thanks. (Does anyone read this anyway? If they did, they would go get the fixed files from the Quest Archive page...

Leap day. Woohoo. I guess it's a great day for those folks born Feb. 29.
I updated the "What's Next" section, so go feast your eyes on the new screen shots.

There's a new bug on the bugs page and an updated demo.qst in the quest archive.

I redesigned the web site a little. The new section "Quest Archive" will be the place to look for updates on quest files. In the future, it will also have custom quests developed by other people.

Don't look now, but there's a new version 1.60 available. It's definitely worth the 1.05 MB download. Please note that it's in an unfinished state right now. See the readme.txt and the ZC Forum for more info.

Check out the new GUI in the What's Next section.

The server is back to normal now (hopefully). I've added a new section called What's Next to give you a sneak peak at what we're working on. Also, the Armageddon Games C Programming section is up now, so check it out.

We have a new forum. Our server has been down a lot. I'm working on BS-Zelda graphics (see the forum for latest info). I uploaded v1.02 for anyone interested. It has a couple new features such as a "pause-press-up-and-A-and-B" way of quiting the game.

The long wait is over; version 1.0 is finally done. Hey, it only took 8 months :) More news later, after Phantom Menace takes a vacation. Happy New Year! Oh yeah, we combined the ZC forum with the new AG forum. Please give some feedback on the game. Don't be shy. Thanks to everyone who has given feedback and bug reports.

This site has a new URL now. If you've been checking out the forum you've probably heard talk of newer versions of ZC. I'm working on v0.98 now, but the last public release is still v0.94. The next release, version 1.0, should be out before the New Year. It will have everything the NES game has, plus a bigger demo quest.
12/14/99
It's nice to have the web site back online. I have the (real) second quest done up to level 6, and all that's left on the first quest is patra, Ganon, and the ending.
11/28/99
Zelda Classic is up to version 0.94 now. I've fixed a lot of monsters: falling rocks, peahats, keese, vires, pols voice, wall monsters, ghinis, and a few minor fixes here and there. I also added some video mode options and improved the GUI colors.
11/22/99
OK, it's a little slow these days. I am making progress though. I'm thinking of not releasing a new version until version 1.0 is finished. Would you rather see another demo before then? Post your opinion in the forum.
11/3/99
I'm working on finishing the NES part of the game now. The new screen shot on the main page is of myself getting to Ganon without a sword, ring or potion. This is to get everyone psyched for version 1.0 of Zelda Classic, which will hopefully be out in a few weeks.
10/23/99
I improved the site design and added the message forum. Also uploaded a new version of Zelda Classic. It has a few bug fixes and new features. Added the hit counter on the main page.
10/19/99
I uploaded some screen shots of the new demo quest. They use some of the extended graphics features of the new game system. Expect even better graphics in the future.

Grand opening of this development page!
