Program Development
Although this game has been developed by a one-person team so far, I am open to suggestions and contributions. In fact, Qianhong might go open source at sometime down the road.
Thanks to those who have contributed ideas and bug reports! If you would like to help with Qianhong development, here are some ways you can contribute:
- New plugins are welcome. See the plugin spec and source code of open-source plugins for help on getting started.
- The Chinese Chess file support could use some help. I am especially interested in examples of standard files used by other Xiangqi software that Qianhong does not support correctly. (By "standard" I mean something in a text format similar to the WXF files that Qianhong produces; no need to support proprietary formats.)
- The Xiangqi Reference in the Help manual could use some strategy topics. The more the better...
